Napa County declared a local health emergency on Thursday afternoon, March 12, urging a stop to public gatherings of more than 250 people, amid widening disruptions to daily life nationwide caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus.
"As we shift from a strategy of containment of COVID-19 to one of community mitigation, these measures are necessary to protect public health and slow the spread" of the virus, Dr. Karen Relucio, the Napa County public health officer, said in the announcement.
The health and wellness of our cyclists, guests, sponsors and beneficiaries is our utmost concern. We, the Cycle for Sight & Rotary Ride for Veterans team, are moving our April 18th event to a date later in 2020. We shall contact you with a confirmed date once we have the requisite approval to bring us together for another great day on the bike.
