Through the combined generosity of our partners and sponsors plus the thousands of cyclists who come to Napa Valley each year for the ride and festival, we have raised in excess of $1,000,000 for our main event beneficiaries and other local non-profit organizations.
The V Foundation Wine Celebration in the Napa Valley is a charitable organization dedicated to saving lives by helping to find cures for cancer. The V Foundation was founded by the legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano in conjunction with ESPN. To date, the V Foundation Wine Celebration has awarded nearly $90 million for cancer research since the inaugural event in 1999.
The V Foundation seeks to make a difference by generating broad-based support for cancer research and by creating an urgent awareness among all Americans of the importance of the war against cancer. The V Foundation performs these roles through advocacy, education, fundraising and philanthropy. 100% of direct cash donations are awarded to cancer research and related programs. Due to generous donors, the Foundation has an endowment that covers administrative expenses. The V Foundation is proud to be in the top 10% of charities to receive Charity Navigator’s highest rating. Received 4-Star Charity Navigator Award for financial health, accountability & transparency.Purchase a V Foundation Pass

The majority of the funds raised go to The Pathway Home, Inc., a local organization helping post-9/11 Veterans transition from military service to civilian success by addressing deployment related challenges and providing educational, professional, and mental health support in a residential setting. The program utilizes an innovative, integrated model of care that builds on individual and collective strengths to help residents effectively manage depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other re-adjustment related issues in order to achieve academic or vocational success and live fulfilling and productive lives.
